Chabad of RARA provides support and Jewish connection for people living further away. We are well known for our outreach efforts, and for our famous yellow Mitzva Tank and Mobile Library.

With your help, our team can spend quality time on the road visiting people and providing support where it is most needed – all over Australia.

RARA Foundation – Tax Deductible (Australia)

RARA Foundation is a Public Benevolent Institution that provides for the most vulnerable, ensuring they are able to participate in community activities and initiatives, regardless of their circumstances. This includes food relief, communal meals, pastoral care, and practical assistance.

Donations made to RARA Foundation are fully tax deductible in Australia.

The Library Fund – Tax Deductible (Australia)

We also run a mobile public library, housed in our Mitzva Mobile. The RARA Mitzva Mobile Library travels all over Australia and is open to the public to come on board, read, and borrow books. You can also browse and borrow books online via the library section of our website.

Donations made to the RARA Mitzva Mobile Library are fully tax deductible in Australia.

General RARA Activities

Donations made via our general Chabad of RARA form support our wider activities – everything from road trips and children’s programs to holiday events, pastoral visits, and ongoing regional support.

These donations are not tax deductible in Australia, but they are absolutely vital to keeping RARA running and enabling us to say “yes” when people in remote places reach out for help.

Donate in US Dollars

If you prefer to donate in US Dollars (USD), or you live overseas, you can use our dedicated USD donation page. From there, you’ll see information about how to receive a US 501(c)(3) tax-deductible receipt (where applicable) or how to give without a tax receipt.

This is a convenient option for friends and supporters in the USA and other countries.

We are deeply appreciative of the kind people who choose to donate to Chabad of RARA. We truly could not do our important work without you. By supporting Chabad of RARA, you are bringing connection and care to those living further away.

Our RARA Foundation activities are tax deductible, and our mobile public library activities are tax deductible. Other activities are not tax deductible.

• $100 – a tank of petrol on the road.
• $180 – dedicate a week of our online class in honour of a loved one.
• $180 – dedicate a week of our email update in honour of a loved one.
• $360 – a month of our online store (banner ad available).
• $360 – a scholarship for a child to participate in our Online Bat Mitzva course.
• $800 – a pair of Tefillin to be used by our volunteers on the road.
• $1,000 – an on-the-road Shabbat experience in a regional location.
• $1,800 – an edition of the RARA Report print magazine.
• $18,000 – put two of our volunteers on the road for a six-week road trip.
• $180,000 – a new Mobile Mitzva Tank and Library.
